Yay, my Acai Bowl recipe is finally online! A few friends have already asked me about the recipe and here it is! Now you can create your own Acai Bowl in only 5 minutes.
Ingredients (for 1 portion):
1 cup frozen blackberries (sometimes I use frozen raspberries)
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon of Acai powder
1 tablespoon Guanana Sirup (you can also use agave syrup
, maple syrup
or honey)
1/2 cup of almond milk (sometimes I use apple juice instead)
Toppings: You can actually use any fruits you prefer. There are plenty of delicious and healthy options of toppings. I like to use blueberries, pineapple, strawberries, nuts, granola, chia seeds, goji beeries
and kiwis.
Directions:
Just add all ingredients in a blender and blend the ingredients about a minute until it’s creamy and smooth. It should be thicker than a smoothie. You can add another banana if you want a thicker consistency or add more juice if you want it more liquid. Then pour the the mixture into a small bowl and top it with your fruits and nuts. Bon appétit!
Here are some Acai Bowl examples that I posted some time ago on Instagram:
Have your heard about Acai Bowls before? Have you ever tried them in Germany or only in other countries?
What are Acai Berries?
Acai berries (pronounced „ah-sah-ee“) are originally from the Amazon rainforest in Brazil are popular because of their high levels of antioxidants. These antioxidants can slow down our aging process and prevent diseases. In addition, Acai berries contain vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids.
Can you lose weight with Acai berries?
Acai berries have a high content of fiber, they help our digestion and thus boost our metabolism. In addition, you feel happily full (for hours). But unfortunately you won’t lose weight if you only eat acai berries alone.
